I was just wondering the same thing and also noticed that many posts will have a lot of boosts but little favorites.

I favorite to show that I appreciate the post and maybe increase its algorithm ranking. I boost to allow my followers to see it and maybe other people in my instance. Although I get the feeling sometimes that boosting kind of feels redundant so I try not to boost other boosts unless it's something that I think I'd absolutely beyond.

Doesn't track. They didn't comment in a tone that says that they wouldn't be triggered

Thank you. I thought so.

But seriously. I thought this might be another Tower of Babylon incident. I could definitely see this playing out early on during the vestiges of the mythological era. I was also feeling asleep.

Note to self. Don't comment when falling asleep.

This is mind blowing if true. Is this real? What's going on here? Are you serious?

I got logged in with my admin account. Looks to be a waiting process. So wait I shall do. Thank you for the help!

That says my instance is not registered

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago

Ok. Thank you. I'm going to see into that when I get home

Thanks. Good to know.

And this is your only comment. Congrats on setting up an instance.

EDIT: Apparently my instance hasn't been completely federated yet and I can't see all the comments yet.

Thanks @TORFdot0 for the response.

I'd like to kick off Engage.GoGoGoals.com with a post about Lemmy adoption as I believe a Decentralized World is a much better world than we have now. I don't want to get too far down the rabbit hole of ideological dialogue however, that very well may be difficult to avoid.

My goal here was to get this server up and running. I'm posting here because there is still a lot to do here.

I've created an email server and a postalserver smtp relay server to go along with this Lemmy server. The UI for the email server has yet to be set up but isn't really necessary unless I provide it as an option for users to use. Instead, I use Thunderbird for now to read my emails.

I have always had an icky feeling about the dominant platforms of social media. There are just some things that corporations should not have their diddy hands in to. Social media is one of them.

Thanks to some really brilliant developers around the world we have this opportunity to take back our identities and enjoy a decentralized macro-community like Lemmy.

So I present to you Engage.GoGoGoals.com, aka, GoGoGoals!

I am currently creating broad sweep communities like Fitness for your goals at better fitness and Music for those of you that want to learn instruments. Maybe I'll create a Sports community for becoming a better athlete in a particular sport. Then there is academia. There can be another broad sweep like Academia and subsets like Math and Philosophy.

I imagine that posts can also just be resources and tools for self improvement in these categories.

I hope GoGoGoals will help move humanity closer to a more free and humane world!
