Transparent about what? I'm not going around listing all the tools used to create my game, use of an LLM for image generation should be no different. If I get asked, sure I'll talk about it, but I'm not going out to announce it.

Stability diffusion is open source. You can run local instances with provided and free training sets to query against and generate your own outputs.

That's not really the case but moreoever the gap is closing at a blistering pace. Approximately two years ago this stuff was in the distant future. One year ago the lid was blown open. Today we're seeing real-time frame generation. This rallying against the tech is misguided. It needs to be embraced and understood. Trying to do otherwise is great folly as everything will fall even further behind and lead to even larger misunderstandings. This isn't theoretical. It's already here. We can't bury our heads in the sand.
They're not gatekeeping llms though, there are publicly available models and data sets.
I picked up a thinkpad last month and I'm happy with it except for: battery life. Thing gets less than 3 hours of usage. That kind of blows.
