World history should be mandatory in every country and tested exhaustively. Kids are able to consume the information, as long as they're not forced to remember the absolutely useless information of it and focus on the actual point of learning history instead.
Of course it's not to the benefit of individual countries for its citizens to be fully educated, especially when their history consists of taking advantage of the whole world and causing way more misery than the one they're accusing others of.

Its physically painful that most people think like this. Then they point fingers and say that other countries use propaganda and their citizens are clueless about reality.
We have a voteable communist party in my country, it's never going to get elected. People are either dumb as bricks or corrupt, and so is the system. The whole system is hopeless, I don't think we'll ever see real change without seeing violence first.
This is such an effective propaganda trick, it strikes people right where they're most vulnerable, in their hearts, by showing someone you could fall in love with killed in a war that naturally takes lives and commits attrocities in both sides. We all have simple monkey brains at the end of the day, and that can be very easily exploited by those with power.
