In Germany we have the saying: "Herr lass Hirn regnen. Oder Backsteine. Egal Hauptsache du triffst!"
Which roughly translates to: "lord let it rain brains or bricks. Doesn't matter as long as it hits"
Yes but sadly that's not what happens.
For example there was a security researcher that found out, the official api of some political party site here in Germany was leaking user data. Instead of thanking them an mitigating the issue, the researcher got sued and it was just dropped because of the public outcry.

No it's simply that the man tried to slow that bridge down with the lever. The bridge being much heavier than him pushed and pulled him along, he tried to brace himself into the boards but to no avail.
