I really wonder how many of men commenting with generally respectful language here are questioning whether they are trans. This is a small community hosted on the piefed spinoff of the most trans instance. It doesn't seem like the kind of place men who are cis with certainty would just stumble upon.

Put it some boring and reliable investment, and just have the interest supplement my income for life.

I'm a little disappointed that I've become so boring, old, and senile in my late youth, but also its good I'm content enough in my place right now to not want to use the money for some major change.

An extra $10-20k per year from interest and a massive emergency fund is plenty thx.

According to the diagrams, holding your arms outward is feminine, but holding them inwards at your side in order to take up less space is masculine. Sounds backwards

That's literally the code in the Netherlands. Its a non issue when the streets are built properly. Any street directly next to houses are low speed, and low volume.

Build roads with traffic calming. Narrow lanes with solid bollards on either side with a rough tiled surface will slow down cars much more effectively than any sign, traffic stop, or camera.

The problem is building wide, smooth, and straight roads and then trying to force drivers to drive slower than the road is designed for. That is not possible. Build slow roads and streets and drivers will have no choice to drive safely.

I knit! I have some pretty purple cotton yarn that I'm making a sundress with, and hopefully it will still be summer when I'm done with it!

Fees are an effective way to shape behavior. Charge for the things you want to discourage, don't charge for the things you want to encourage. Charging use based fares discourages people from using the transit.

Because transit and bicycles are the most cost effective and energy efficient ways to move people, those things should be paid for with fees on cars. Toll the roads, and charge congestion pricing. Then use that money to pay for the free to ride transit.

The neoliberal idea that things need to pay for themselves is a cancer. My state really takes the climate seriously, or so they claim. But they actively discourage drivers from reducing their carbon output by using transit, or driving a hybrid or EV, by charging extra for those things specifically.

Make the busses and trains free and the cars costly.

Is it surprising when traditional sources have paywalls and podcasts don't?

Bears generally avoid people. They're naturally afraid of humans, which makes them pretty safe. Things are different when bears become familiar and comfortable around people, or discover that humans are a source of food. Then they get close to people which makes them much more of a threat.

By contrast, strange men are not naturally afraid of people, and most have learned that humans are a source of food. That makes strange men far more dangerous. Pick the bear every time.
