Even less work, if I understood correctly, it pulls the info directly from the API. See the comments of Lena here.

Against.

User votes have never been private as it seems. Lemvotes only made this loophole mainstream. This has to be fixed by lemmy devs, an opt out would give a false sense of security and leave the other lemvotes type tools that are not known yet untouched.

The comments on their instance are surprisingly long and well articulated. Exposure to different opinions, even as wack and one sided, is a good thing. I don't want db0 to be an echo chamber.

Yes.

Convince her to go to DBT if she hasn't yet, it makes a hell of a difference

Bad for the department, good for science. We need a better way to publish papers.

Wow you're right! I thought it was still normal to pump all animals full of antibiotics as a preventative measure. Thanks for the correction!

Antibiotics are allowed and, unfortunately, used plenty in the EU. Growth hormones on the other hand are banned. As far as I know, those are standard in the US, so farmers can't simply export surplus production.

And it doesn't apply because it would be curved upwards

In my country the laws about publishing photos etc are different for anyone an "people of public interest". So yeah imo it should be okay to create cartoons or whatever of politicians without their permission - not porn ofc. Including ai generated stuff, but that one should be marked as such , given how realistic it is now

Locally, yes, it could cause changes in the environment in a very small area. Ocean temperature is a global phenomenon and not affected or caused by active heating elements.

The rise in temperature is caused by a change in the insulation of the planet, the atmosphere.

The sun pumps energy (heat) into the earth equivalent to 44 million power plants. Next to that, a data center does not even register.

Harmless or not, making other people unknowingly ingest substances is NOT OKAY
