IEP ensure that all children receive a free and appropriate public education in the least restricted way possible. Unless you want kids with special needs just shoved in a special education classroom until their 18, they are absolutely necessary.

As a parent of a child with special needs, all of this scares the crap out of me. The second the department of education is gone so will the enforcement of the IDEA act. And that is the only thing keeping states like the one I live in from providing these services. It is already hard enough to get schools to do what they are supposed to. I've had to threaten a lawsuit against ours, and it's one of the better school districts.

The second they don't have to provide for these kids they will shove them in the deepest darkest hole and leave them there until they age out.

There is a Firefox extension called Absolute Enable Right Click & Copy that works great for a lot sites that block you from being able to copy.

My boss convinced me to make a pricing calculator for our contracts using Excel with macros. I pushed back and said we need to use Power Apps, CRM, or anything other than Excel. He said it would just be a POC/wireframe we'd use to build a more permanent solution with later.

Well 5 years later, there are like 2 dozen versions floating around with different macros, pricing, etc. And of course I'm the one who gets messaged every time some makes a change and breaks the damn thing, or some sales person is convinced it's not calculating correctly. I fucking HATE that Excel sheet.

Just like the constitution, states can add to, but not take away from federal department of education regulations. For example, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) is a law that makes available a free appropriate public education to eligible children with disabilities throughout the nation and ensures special education and related services to those children. Changing laws if difficult and no one wants to go on record voting against special needs. So they can just get rid of the department that enforces laws and say they are leaving up to the states.

As someone who lives in a red state and has a child with special needs, the IDEA law is the only reason my child gets any support in school. If they get rid of the department of education then states like Texas can reduce their special education services even further, so they can build more multi-million dollar high school football stadiums.

So I have a conspiracy theory around that. Android used to put the volume slider at the top of the screen. At some point they moved it to the right side, and now blocks the skip button on YouTube. I won't doubt this was done on purpose, so if you lower the volume for an ad, you will be forced to watch more of it.

They do rock. They are metalcore with a punk edge. I'd say most similar Sick of it All. Maybe Blood for Blood, H2O, or Agnostic Front.

Is there a word for the thing before the penultimate? Because that would be it.
