You add an initial link to the initial photo that'll be shown and add consecutive photos to the body of post.

That's also a fair point, although I hope most serious instances only consider defederating from another instance as a last resort.
No VPN or Proxies being used? Anyways, like others have mentioned you're on a popular and possibly overloaded instance which is probably why it's taking so long.
