Ppl actually moved away from helm because lots of small helm chart is abandoned. And lots of ppl's matrix already integrated with oidc. I prefer desktop app and mobile app. Haven't looked into web ui. The real problem for matrix is the bridges: support is minimal, lots of trial and err; code is in beta, make me worried.

Even without ess or this helm chart, lots of ppl can still run matrix in k8s. But it's good to see them to release more open source code. Thx for the news.

What? You allow your prisoners sleep on an actual bed, keep their clothes on and manually feed them by human beings? How kind of you.

I would worry about your bandwidth, network infrastructure, security and even electrical bill wayyy before your Linux choices.

Exposing your data and services are dangerous without domain knowledge. In terms of storage space and bandwidth, vps are wayy under charge. However, learning experience is also valuable. Have fun.

Kodi suits you better in your case. Jellyfin is cool though

Reading how-tos(may be the source code too) are all you needed. No need to listen random stuff from some random YouTubers. Ppl can read that time. Books and magazines did exist.

Looks professional. I am always wondered if any video editor is client server based and/or api driven based.

For example, if the video editor can directly use tlmy server's disk io and gpu instead of my desktop one, so my desktop client is only for controlling. Non concurrent multi users across network would be awesome.

If we can build a simple video by using APIs then fine-tune the project by using video editor, that would also awesome.

Rust is not just beginner unfriendly, rust is also intermediate lvl unfriendly and very hard to read others' code.

But at the same time, I also like it....

Typical China products' experience. Its spec looks good. I was tempting to get one. We barely have choices in laptop smaller than 10 inch.

I think we actually have similar conclusion.

  1. We do agree blender has been achieved a lot, but it's an unfair and uphill battle.

  2. I never claimed blender has not been used by real studios. But the market share for blender is bad, ~3% according to my quick search. And it's probably not from big studios. If we love something, I think we also have to be unbiased, so we can improve it.

My point is that instead of blaming the blender team, we should cherish how much blender team has been achieved and offered in this harsh territory.

Good for you. Lucky guy/girl.

Good things for blender is the community is really strong and friendly. And lots of free high quality tutorials in YouTube and even in other streaming platform. Go donuts. We should cherish what the community have built and achieved.
