The Matrix didn't take itself too seriously in my opinion. You didn't see the Wachowski's flaunting their film as if it were some auteur bullshit like you might see Zack Snyder do today. They did something new and they did it well. So well that it permanently left a mark on the genre.

They had even smaller ones, too. I remember seeing them in the Sears catalog.

I remember them looking sort of like this:

portable tv

I remember this! I may have even had the pen version, but honestly it might be a false memory.

Oh my God, yes those tiny TVs were the pinnacle of cool. It truly felt like you could be some sort of spy with all this cool tech.

I'm sure you're aware, but the internet and the "world wide web" are different things. The common term for what you're describing is air gapping.

I would have to disagree. A duopoly sucks, but it's still better than a monopoly.

Security should be both convenient and default for everyone.

RCS is opt-in. Nothing is changing protocols without your prior consent and knowledge.

SMS and MMS are not very secure however. RCS is technically an open standard. it's mostly controlled by Google at the moment, but hopefully that will change as Apple enters the game this year.

During COVID and in the immediate years after their production started used Tesla held value well.

This was the case for all vehicles at the time due to the supply chain shortages.

Is that really the best way? I believe studies have shown that harsher punishments don't deter crime.

As a non-sciencey person, can someone explain the chasm of ignorance?
