[Reddit, Twitter, etc.] => [Fediverse]

Plain food => food but you get to choose (which) spice(s)

Plain dancing => dancing but you can choose which clothes to wear while dancing

Plain grammar => talking but you can choose a dialect and or accent

Plain cat => you can choose which cat you like from an animal shelter

Though they all fundamentally revolve around platforms that enable sharing content, the main difference usually is, at least to me personally, the interface through which you access the content.

Can't think of (good) analogies for lawsuits, sadly don't know enough about nail polish, and it's too late into the night for me to think about biology.

It's also too late for me to see if what I said made sense or is plain bullshit

Our mobile data is the biggest scam that exists on this earth. A handful of gigabytes for 10s of €s per month.

The highest IQ people will say "Well it doesn't have to be more than a few gigabytes, you got wifi at home anyways, I barely reach the mobile data limit", well it doesn't have to be 10s of €s for a handful of gigabytes either/anyways.

And coverage outside has always been between "Barely alright" and "Dogshit non-existent" too, doesn't matter if you're in a city, around a city or on a street between cities, especially on the streets though you're lucky if you can fucking "ping -c 4 google.com" with package loss.

In psychological terms that is actually what we refer to as the "Dorcelessness Syndrome". I have studied psychology for multiple years now (Fun fact: I actually did my doctorate on this condition) and it is actually a really fascinating condition that, so far, I personally have only seen once in the field (Though a good handful of documented cases exist).

What was not mentioned in this post, is that this condition is not inherently "contagious" but should still be treated ASAP, as it will otherwise lead to other damaging conditions, the longer it stays untreated. If you find or know somebody, that is feeling dorceless or even just appears to be dorceless, get them to professionals immediately.

Prolonged dorcelessness leads to a loss of identity at best and interplanetary genocide at worst (so far), in all according documented cases.

It's not that complicated, if you know the person you are trying to teach you could just appropriate a short analogy.

For example if I was talking to a CSGO player I would just tell them Reddit, Twitter, etc are just plain AK47s while the fediverse is a M4A4 that you get to choose a skin for (the site that you sign up to access the fediverse).

As "Person" I would find this answer way more entertaining than "it is, isn't it?" or something to that effect

I'm using Liftoff as well right now I wanted to take a look at Eternity a while ago but it just never came to that for some reason. Probably cause my main is kbin idk. Might as well just try it now that I'm reminded by the poll, I guess.

Edit: Well, Eternity doesn't seem to handle logging in from lemmy.blahaj.zone yet. Or something else's wrong with my credentials idk.

They have been spamming me all night.

I asked them a yes or no question and they replied with a rant, that I still didn't bother to read (because they didn't reply with either "yes" or "no") and now they're accusing me of actually having read the rant. Very reasonable people 💀👍

How come you're only defending the people putting this hateful shit on there? You aren't impressing anybody on here by "seeing both sides" if you're only seeing the modders side.

Nexus removed a mod that may be (and has obviously been, because otherwise nobody would be making posts about it) perceived as hateful by others and you're over here defending the modders that put that shit on there because "it's political" from Nexus to take the obviously political mod down.

On the other hand you're probably the type preaching about "Well Twitter is allowed to encourage hate speech on their site because it's their website and they're allowed to do whatever they want, you don't have to use it if you feel attacked by that", but Nexus is not? Nexus' site-wide rules don't count because they're "pushing leftist agenda" by removing mods that were never allowed there to begin with?

"Why should NexusMods care if the mods exist?" why do you care so much if it doesn't exist any longer? If you feel that attacked by the removal of an anti-pronouns mod you can just make a new one yourself or download it from somewhere else. Or just not give a fuck/be happy like every other normal functioning human being.

Would you care as much as to reply to this post, if they had instead instead removed a mod that added pronouns to a game? Would that not be imposing political views as well then? Or would you just not care because you care more about making non-binary people feel excluded rather than included?

You're not making a point here. We are making this network a place that is inclusive to people all over the gender spectrum. Defending those that do not, is not making a point.

I do not care to read any more of your replies as your points are easily dismantled even by someone that's as stupid as I am.
If you do reply, just say yes or no to the following question, that I had posed earlier: Would you care this much if they had removed a mod that added pronouns to a game?
Try to think as hard as you can, I do not want to read any excuse for either answer. Just imagine yourself in that situation and tell me.
