If by your sub you mean this instance, then yes. If you mean this community (Lemmy Shitpost)? Then, i guess so? I'm not a mod here, just an instance admin,

We don't remove AI posts, but if AI is posted to a community bans it explicitly, they'll remove it and there's nothing we can do about it (we don't want to overstep our boundaries)

We do have a voted on rule on our instance at courtesy of unruffled about no brigading, but that only applies to our own communities. If we were to intervene on other communities outside of ours, it would cause a lot of shit.

The best course of action would be to disengage, block or if they are harassing; report them. The report will go to me and the community mods. Cheers.

It's cool af (i don't know much abt atproto, but my friend who knows much more about the technical stuff of fedi/matrix/etc likes it more than AP ) but i wouldn't trust my sensitive repos with it for now. But i guess its the best we have right now :c

If you find yourself in this type of conflict again, DM or use the disengage rule (in the sidebar) I'll let you know what we decide on later (other admins aren't active yet)

Yeah I fucked up dealing with this situation. For now I've banned the alts, I'll talk to them later .

Look, I get how anti AI content / actual harassment in some cases are extremely annoying. Nowadays most conflict on this instance is about some users hating, or even harassing/sending suicide DMs to our users; the first one is a jackass move, but not bannable I think. The latter is not tolerated in any way.

If you ever get a comment like that, ignore them; getting into these types of conflicts on Lemmy is just mentally exhausting and not worth it.

I sympathize, but you couldve asked us on how to handle this, not use vote manipulation with 4 accounts.

And to the person you replied to with the porn comment; they weren't accusing you of anything, just saying that the og comment author didn't use any AI, and the porn wasn't even censored.

For the second accusation of gofsckyourself using an AI image; I genuinely couldn't tell if it was AI or not so I'll ignore it.

I'm not sure where to go from here but perhaps the other admins know what to do. I'll DM you later and clear this up.

I'm not sure, it hasn't been announced. They're waiting for forgefed to finish being developed until they implement federation

I didn't know about the vote manipulation, I'll talk to the admins about it.

I'm away from home right now, I would have probably dealt with this all sooner since I like to do everything at my desktop. The porn was definitely wrong to post so I've removed it.

I won't lie about the votes; I agreed with them at the top comment first (before the reporsed comment) then mindlessly upvoted/downvoted comments based on that, so I'm sorry about that. Now that I'm engaging yeah, we'll discuss how to take action against

Edit: using 2 alts to intentionally vote manipulate? Yeah that's concerning. Will see what to do

Edit2: I was wrong. THREE alts!

Damn, that's incredibly disappointing...

I use forgejo and it's expected to have federation eventually, but it would've been amazing for gitlab to have AP support. Hopefully in the future it might be picked up again.

What the hell does that have to do with this? Quit derailing the conversation.
