Heh they block VPNs, Tor and that type of stuff in Saudi. They block wireguard in Jordan, at least according to my friend there lol

Awesome, the middle east has tons of censorship so this will help tons of people. There are many blocked websites in my country and my friends' nations.

And while many block VPNs directly i highly doubt they'll block cloudflare or github, so this should be very hard to prevent.

Piefed support? (self.summit)

Hello! As the piefed API has been released a week or so ago, i'm wondering of summit will ever support it? The APIs are very similar, so it would not need much modification to get it working.

For reference:

Tesseract, mlem, voyager and thunder are all interested in getting piefed support soon. Interstellar already supports it.

Tons of huge instances have decided to run a piefed instance, too:

  • piefed.blahaj.zone
  • piefed.world
  • piefed.ca
  • quokk.au
  • slrpnk.net (potentially, in the future)
  • dbzer0.com (potentially, in the future)

Thanks in advance!

"The activists had set out to protest Israel’s ongoing military campaign in the Gaza Strip, which is among the deadliest and most destructive since World War II, and its restrictions on the entry of humanitarian aid, both of which have put the territory of around 2 million Palestinians at risk of famine."

Story by Yahya Al-Qassas
June 5, 2025

"The first school Jameel was forced to clear out was in Beit Hanoun. He was ordered to head to the school, put the displaced civilians in lines and move them out. Then came something else. Soldiers would force him to enter destroyed and burned-out homes – alone. The APC door would open and he would be told to get out—dressed in an IDF uniform—and search inside. A drone hovered over him, emitting a voice that directed him where to go.

Once he cleared the home, the drone filmed everything. Then soldiers stormed in, planted explosives on the support pillars, and later blew up the house. That was the cycle. Again and again. House after house."

I've gotten very bored of lemmy nowadays, so i only comment once every few days. Dunno why, but hopefully lemmy gets interesting again or something.
