either they used that or whatever was shot down looked completely different

modern radar can measure speed, size, altitude of target and count turbine blades, allowing to figure out what it is. well, rotational speed of propeller in this case but logic is the same

whatever was shot down was shot by fighter jets, not gbad

the explanation that was given at the time was that drones that were assessed as armed were shot down near border (like the one that blew off roof - it was strictly speaking debris after shootdown) but decoys were allowed to crash on their own

it's a guess of what can be abstracted away and what has to remain. i'd just add that evolutionarily, peptide signalling is older than synapses so these, or something that works like these, probably can't be just left out of the picture, and there's a couple of processes that seem important that depend on them (you can live normal life while packed full of naloxone, which blocks activity of opioid peptides, but this probably won't work with, say, orexin which is important for sleep/wake cycle)

huh i honestly had no idea, and i guessed he was very replaceable in rw propaganda machine. i heard somewhere that shapiro was also supposed to be there

at minimum this requires additionally keeping position of neurons, modelling concentration of any neurotransmitters and their diffusion (taking into account shape of cells around) and their degradation products, some of which are active on their own. whatever set of interactions might be between neurons, it'll probably make it changing with time and probably not sparse (information exchange isn't just packaged neatly within synapses)

i didn't even thought he was relevant anymore since 2020, he was like 2017 era chud debatelord who relied entirely on gotchas. he did toe the party line tho, so maybe some divergent rightwinger didn't like what he was doing for whatever reason. maybe it was situation like with trump shooter, probable republican that didn't particularly like epstein link, or whatever else cause there might be involved

yeah i understand that the proper thing to do would be burning Alabuga to the ground, but we're kinda not in position to do that

from what i understand, there are now tests of anti-drone systems for purpose of procurement for polish army, and today i heard there's some kind of training of polish air defense troops by ukrainians to be set up. other than that? they reacted according to doctrine, using what they had, mobilizing allied assets available in the area, could have been worse

they did, try to keep up. russia fucked off from turkey because su-24 also tends to have pilot who died, and this time it's drones only

some communities are stuck in past, some 1d, some 1 month+. maybe it's because of old lemmy version (0.19.3 was released 22.01.2024). release notes for 0.19.4-0.19.10 don't suggest that these are breaking updates. 0.19.4 and 0.19.6 are big ones. 0.19.4 requires postgresql 16 and pictrs 0.5+ and it passed security audit. 0.19.6 recalculates something meaning that update takes longer. most of instances still on this version are down or badly broken, and these few that still are up seem to have the same problem

i guess it promotes touching grass, if that's your intention, fine,
