How much force does it take to open your dish washer? The one we have at work requires you to yank hard to open it so I doubt anything would do it. But if it’s a super soft button press then maybe.

I’m a RAADS-R high scorer!

Remember it’s not just the breadth of your mental issues, but also the depth.

Damn, not many mopar fans here? They might be shit but the Plymouth Laser and Eclipse looked sick.

Are you sure they're different? They might be similar enough honestly.

Here's a IIC + drive

And here's an 800k mac floppy.

I don't have any spare 800k drives lying around to compare. But here's more photos of a IIC+ drive.

Worst case just pop open the auto eject mechanism and take a look. It already doesn't work.

Does it use the same mechanism as Macintoshs? If so those gears are really cheap now on ebay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/235320197466

Lil noisy compared to the original. But 4 of them for the weed number you can't argue with that.

From tptacek on ycombinator:

OK, I think I found the original thing Rockenhaus was convicted of. Back in 2014, Rockenhaus worked for a travel booking company. He was fired. He used stale VPN access to connect back to the company’s infrastructure, and then detached a SCSI LUN from the server cluster, crashing it. The company, not knowing he was involved, retained him to help diagnose and fix the problem. During the investigation, the company figured out he caused the crash, and terminated him again. He then somehow gained access to their disaster recovery facility and physically fucked up a bunch of servers. They were down a total of about 30 days and incurred $500k in losses. (He plead this case out, so these are I guess uncontested claims).

I'm sure you can find some on aliexpress.

Make sure you load all your copies onto it, delete them all, then try to view what's on there.

A lot of them don't have dedicated sockets on them to prevent you from back feeding power into the grid when it's down. There's nothing stopping Joe Schmo from getting a male to male cable and plugging that into his wall outlet and giving an electrical worker a nice zap. Gotta plan for the lowest common denominator when it comes to safety.

Or just have DLSS run the game at 480p, but upscale it to 4k! You'll never notice the difference we swear!

The worst part IMO is that if they commented anywhere in the chain you're blocked from that entire chain. Say you're having a nice conversation back and forth about something, then they reply to the original comment (not even seeing you) now you're blocked from the entire thread of comments.

Grub by default has like a 3-5 second timer on startup where you can pick between Linux, and whatever options there are.

Usually it’s Linux first, Linux with an old kernels/ safe mode, then finally windows.

Is there any plan to try to fix federation with hexbear.net? Shortly after their domain expired it stopped working, but now that it's back it doesn't seem to have resumed. Does Lemmy even have something in place to fix federation issues when something like this happens?

I have an X61 Tablet and I'd like to get the original Lenovo recovery media for XP tablet edition (I think version 2005) mostly so I can get all of the drivers and functionality working.

I currently have an XP Pro install but that doesn't have any of the special tablet features. And my xp tablet edition install decided it doesn't want to work anymore and BSODs on start, and I don't feel like dealing with the hunt for old drivers.

Does anyone know where or how I can acquire isos or even the actual recovery CDs for this machine?
