@damnedfurry @gaja calling someone an illegal immigrant is specifically meant to dehumanize them. Right wingers don't do that with other offenses. We don't have illegal gun owners, illegal tax payers, illegal drivers, illegal hunters, heck they don't even call abortionists illegal doctors.

@FrowingFostek @chonglibloodsport no reason to be respectful about it.

Sounds about right.

@GeekFTW yeah, the nxt/tna has teased a number of cross promotional title switches, but this one actually feels more likely than any of those did, even though I just learned about it today. I'm not sure exactly why, but it could be the grins & giggles as you said.

The first one was funny. It was only funny once. The second one was even bad at being bad. I guess they gotta do something to make a buck...

Natalya is still under WWE contract and wrestling for Billy?

@cupcakezealot the NXT Mexico thing is more like it is an additional developmental territory, like NXT UK used to be.

Oh man I wonder how much this sweet oil painting of an 80s Ford Taurus went for. Late Ford CEO Don Peterson estate sale is a trip back in time

@[email protected] we'll see. Wrestling is a lot different world now than it was in 1980s. I fell like in the 80s they destroyed the North American NWA territory system, and now they are trying to establish a global WWE Territory system. Only time will tell.

The working party’s idea is the establishment of a Global Game Leadership Committee, with equal representation of national Boards, the franchise leagues, players and independents, as an interim step towards the goals it attempts to set.

This sure sounds like the right thing to do to me. I know the suggestion to limit international tours to 84 calendar days a year is going to ruffle the feathers of traditionalists, but we need to look to the future. It works for soccer and it's the most successful sport on the planet. Cricket is already #2 with nearly 0 support outside of the commonwealth, just think how great the rest of the world would be if they new and loved cricket .

@cupcakezealot the article makes no mention of either of those.

the official WWE story is that AAA will not change at all, they love lucha libre as it is, and they’re simply going to give it a bigger platform. It was hard to believe WWE’s sincerity in that story, but it was the right thing to say to avoid raising concern among the fanbase. Latin and Konnan are not used to having to stick with AAA’s message. The AAA structure gave them a lot of freedom to say whatever they wanted on their platforms, and WWE does not allow that freedom. Konnan’s YouTube video was made private a few hours later, suggesting he had learned a lesson about the new world we’re all living in.

Cibernetico, LA Park, and Octagon Jr. defeated Mesias, Alberto and Pierroth in a what was a typical LA Park spot show brawl. He either wasn’t feeling good or didn’t feel like trying for AAA – the powerbomb on Pierroth on the outside was good, but some of his usual routine was done at Octagon low levels of effort. Still, even if LA Park doesn’t care to do much, it will always be an LA Park if LA Park is involved. The story about Octagon getting a title shot if he wins was barely mentioned, and he was about the sixth most important person in this match. Maybe seventh, since it was an LA Park match so they had plenty of ref spots.
