I have 3 old DreamSpark Windows 7, 8 and 10 Pro licenses I’ve been upgrading/reusing between my main PC and laptop, so I haven’t bothered looking at the state of spoofing the MS activation process in years. Holy crap now it’s literally just on GitHub lol, used to have to download some zip on a random forum or a dodgy torrent…

I’ve yet to play Alyx, but I have a similar experience with most of VR gaming. It’s an interesting experience, but the controller UX gets really annoying very quickly, IMHO. I’ve had quite some fun playing Elite Dangerous until I got bored. The only VR game I play with some semi regularity is Beat Saber, especially when a good pack comes out…

Well that makes sense then 😂

Swims is an incredible singer, discovered him with the handful of singles Wildheart released with him as the singer, then just disbanded/disappeared. Didn’t know Too Many Zooz covered that song! Leo is an insanely talented sax player as well, controls the instrument like I’ve seen few do before.

Raw/natural PB tastes so much better anyways. I can’t buy anything else since I’ve tasted it.

In what sense? If anything, the very concept of “everything is gendered” makes it sit at one extreme of the spectrum of languages, in the very literal sense of the word, wouldn’t you agree?

We often make very different kinds of mistakes. Funnily enough, I initially learned English by getting exposed to pop culture (kung-fu movies, N64 games and anime dubs) through a bilingual friend I had through 3-6th grades. Formal English teaching in schools only started in 4th grade when I was a kid. I didn’t know anything about the language by then. My now 6yo son understands way more of it than I did when I started high school, and speaks it quite a bit.

Same is true about second language French speakers. French conjugates articles (or most things, really, the language is extremely gendered) with nouns. E.g. “the father and the mother” would be “le père et la mère” (le/la is the same definite article in masculine/feminine form, it has no neutral form). English speakers get rightfully confused. It gets even more confusing as there’s a clear trend in the language where many feminine gendered words end with an E (porte/door, table/table, arme/weapon), but not always (nuage/cloud, véhicule/vehicle).

My point was twofold: that the type of user that wouldn’t care about it being Linux or not just wouldn’t care either way, and that making a distinction based on… intent (?) is arbitrary. They’d have perfectly counted as Windows users if the Deck was a Windows machine, after all…

Does it really matter? How many Windows users’ usage just launch a browser and use that, aren’t they effectively not “using” Windows per se?

I’ve stopped going to large stadium shows for the most part a good while ago. It’s just getting ridiculous. Most of the best shows I’ve ever been at have all been in smaller venues anyway…

My guess is you may be talking about AirPod Pros that, like most of these wireless earbud types, have rubber tips that snugly fit in your ear canal, and he’s probably talking about the regular AirPods that just sit in your ear?
