With me today is Chris Were “man of the Fediverse”! Chris and I have known each other for idk 10 years, but I'm still very excited to have him on, because I don't know a lot about him! Chris was “born at a very young age and now loves linux and foss”. He's a former successful Youtuber, that give it up because of Google's stances and he's an EXCLUSIVE Peertuber now. On his Peertube he has the show Freebooters, a show about tech with him and a friend Drew, as well as his old YouTube videos. He's also one of three that has a show about The Expanse called “Space Virgins: First Contact”.

I agree. We need passionate folks that want to build everything. But they're also human. I've been saying I wanted to create a Fedi Donate website for a few months. I haven't really worked on it. Maybe some day I will, maybe not. But I have started other projects and continue to move forward on those. I don't think it's unreasonable for people to judge that I haven't released it, but also, I do work on other things as well. Let's balance it out.

Can anybody anywhere in the world 🌍 create a website like lemmy and Mastodon with possibility of creating multiple instances and feed it into the fediverse so that it gets shared into both lemmy and? in c/[email protected]

Yes. This is how the internet was meant to be and how the Fediverse works. I just posted an Owncast lviestream to Lemmy and you could watch the livestream right in Lemmy. SOmeone can comment or like a Peertube video from Mastodon and it reflects on the Peertube video itself. It should all interconnect.

I'd recommend checking out piefed.social as well as what others recommended.

Or better yet, build your own if that's what you're thinking. :-D Always room in the fediverse for more projects imo!

He definitely has a LOT on his plate. But as he said he has a team he's working with to start ticking things off. We can either believe he'll do it, help do it, or not believe. He's trying and moving forward. I give him points for that.
