Could you provide an example?

Okay. Gen z programmer here. Can you explain this black magic? I see it all the time in kernel code but I have no idea what it means.
Why is this a big mistake? I’m not a c++ person
I’m struggling with this now. There’s an out of tree module I want upstreamed, but the author (understandably) doesn’t want to put in the work to upstream, so I did. The upstream folks are reluctant to take it because I didn’t actually write it.
I really don’t know what to do.
That’s a mistake you only make once!
I’ll admit LUP is worse but self hosted has a lot of the crypto stuff too.
Most of their ‘content’ is the hosts reading our donations each episode and playing obnoxious sound effects. It used to be much, much better, but this crypto stuff ruined it all. I really wouldn’t even bother.
If you want a good Linux how, check out the Late Night Linux family of shows. They have programming stuff, Linux stuff, comedy, Linux news, and more. They’re pretty legit and have a strict real content policy.
I recommend mailbox.org instead.
I believe they just forked ActivityPub.
This was recently packaged in nixpkgs. FWIW.
It also does input validation to ensure one doesn’t break the sudo file.
