God this wooosh shit is annoying you didnt see the other 2 comments first? can we leave that on Reddit?

[–] [email protected] 15 points 2 years ago (1 children)

sites doing this probably wouldn’t be worth using anyways

what about when your bank adds this? have you tried using a safetynet enforcing app on a rooted android phone? this has bigger implications than you’re seeing

if wooosh comes to lemmy this may be my c/mildlyinfuriating post

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 years ago

yeah, but the Twitter migration problem is “everyone i follow is here and not there so why would i leave?” It’s not like lemmy or Reddit where the individual disappears behind the content

it’s not a Roman numeral it’s actually called X as in the letter

..or, actually, 𝕏

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

what was the point of writing this? and have you failed to consider that android is the larger mobile platform where this bug doesn’t happen? apple is the one that deserves the whining, go direct it at them

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 years ago

price hikes bad yes but first increase since they started, and it’s only $1? that’s not bad

Prediction: ... As search engines become less and less useful, users who want [better quality content that’s curated out of SEO spam will share it with each other, creating a sort of link repository or aggregator for quality, human-verified content.] [https://tildes.net/~tech/1734/the_dead_internet_theory#comment-8xwr](paraphrased from OP)

so i thought it would be neat to make something like that, here, on lemmy - showcase the cool and niche things of the internet that you won't find with a search; something like I'm Feeling Lucky

they have a strict community philosophy and are currently invite-only, but i find i really like the discussions i see scrolling and they're usually engaging and interesting

Currently there's a mac community at [email protected] web link

but idk if its still moderated or used or anything , and if it isn't i wouldn't mind tending to a mac community on this side

~~and yes i know discord bad but the discord of the mac subreddit has a good few people too~~
