Yeah, it was more convenient to have a "all under one roof" approach with email and stuff too, which is why i wanted to switch... But ain't gonna touch that dumpster fire for sure.

Fuck. I was procrastinating on buying into their VPN and drive service to de-googlify. Looks like that's off the menu and I am deleting all my burner accounts now. Fucking bruh.

Watch Duty is an actual godsend. My family lives in very high risk wildfire country and it put us on alert of a rapidly growing new start more than 4 hours before the sherriff's office sent out official warnings. Thankfully it never burned towards us, but it gave us a ton more time to prep and move our livestock in case we did have to leave.

It's a free app that gives you access to a lot more pinpointed data and flight trackers if you subscribe to their yearly membership; the subscription isn't expensive and Watch Duty is a fully non profit org so I highly recommend it if you're ever in a wildfire area.

Ensuring everyone runs Windows maintains their monopoly and also keeps the user data siphon net as wide as possible. They don't give a shit as long as you are feeding them personal data and are using Windows.

Now's a perfect time to find an independently bottled soft drink supplier, such as Frostop (my personal favorite), or any one of a hundred other locally made sodas- or honestly just switch to water and tea, your kidneys and teeth will appreciate it

I've always just used the KMS activation method from ms guides dot com. Avoids running anything local (that's not already baked into Windows). I haven't had to use it for a year or so but my machines are still working so I am pretty sure it is still current.

The KMS method can be batch scripted too so it's a single run for your family member.

You've never bitten into a fresh, still-warm loaf of homemade sourdough just a few minutes out of the oven, have you...

Truely good bread can be eaten completely alone and taste amazing.

I know it's not much vs the cabin, but every watt matters.
