But I note that some high-profile Republicans have a spine

Only the old guard ones who still are deluded into thinking they need to maintain some semblance of propriety and keep the government running while they loot it. Theyre stuck in an era when public discourse and press actually mattered. But now... This Nazi monster has so far outrun their control that they don't know what to do anymore.

Well we know whose state will be first to start losing federal funding!

the cool part about voting with your wallet is 99% of your mandatory budget spend where you are locked in and have little to no control over what company you use (power/water/garbage utilities, rent or mortgage, internet, health insurance) all goes to companies that support the fascists anyway!

if you have to put this much effort into just keeping a fucking power plug from melting (something that has been functionally solved since at least the 1970s), you have a failed standard that needs to be obsoleted.

The N series intel chips on these do not support ECC as far as I know. A bit of a downer for NAS work.

Especially since lzma currently CPU bottlenecks on decompression for most computers on fast internet connections. Zstd can use the cpu much more efficiently.

Hot take:
They're only doing this because they know if they commit resources ($$$) to helping ICE, they will NEVER see a single cent come back.

Bit of an overblown title and a nothing burger. 6.5m records of people were simply never closed off with a recorded death. The SSA requires a certified death certificate to close off a file and many of those were lost or never filed by the local authority back in ye olden days of forgotten paperwork.

They can still technically be used fraudulently, for credit and bank accounts and other applications that require SSN's, if scammers were able to obtain the full info of the lost people. but only 13 of these records were collecting benefits.
