I take pictures of interesting paintings or objects in museums so I can google them at home and find more information when I have time.

It's indeed very interesting, especially knowing that he was abducted by the aristocracy in secret and placed in a mental facility for being gay and not having offspring, so him drowning in a lake was rather the game of power and not the wish of the folk, who actually liked him. The root comment spews unbelievable nonsense.

I was thinking about the very same thing yesterday and decided that men wanted to show their wieners to other men but not to women. I couldn't find any other reason for gendered toilets😅

Good on paper, terrible when commuting to work 2 hours one way in a packed train.

there was a project to move people from favellas to social housing. Didn't work for a few reasons, including long commute time to and from work and no infrastructure. People in the streets have a working community that helps them survive, simply moving them to hellscrapers destroys it.

They very much cared about gender roles, but also pretty early figured out that women in the workforce are economically beneficial. So the situation was (and unfortunately is) that women are shamed if they don't earn money OR don't look good OR don't cook/clean/care about children. I am honestly fascinated how average woman manages these three shifts. In academia btw there's still a huge gender bias even when women make the majority of students and generally perform better.
