I hate charts where they use the absolute numbers for coloring. Obviously bigger countries will have more people and thus had more casualties. If you calculate the percentage already, use that number for coloring.

I‘ve watched several documentaries over the past few weeks about this geopolitical issue. It is safe to say, that John Oliver put all the necessary info needed, compressed in 30mins and decorated with humor. Everyone should watch this.
