Nah, I wanted rifle to be a bayonette fencing weapon or maybe it could have been used like a blunderbuss. I think, since greatsword is long range on Mesmer, rifle should have been a melee weapon. I don't know how useful this would have been, but in this regard I prefer style over anything else.

The Icebrood Saga, for example, was rushed to completion just as the story started to get interesting. I hope they start telling stories that are more self-contained for now, ideally with a villain that you can love to hate like Bangar or Joko. Saving all of Tyria from yet another world ending threat gets boring after the fifth time.
