i prefer no gen ai. the name of the community is silly drawing requests, gen ai is explicitly not drawing.

rough black and white fineliner drawing of a fuzzy opossum behind bars. The possum has big bright eyes and its mouth is agape, holding onto the bars with its paws. Above the animal, there is a sign that reads "CUTE GAOL"

(btw don't worry, the door of the cell is open so he could leave at any time)

yes, this is my answer as well! as much of a nightmare the filming process was for everyone i think it's a legitimately good movie, not even "so bad it's good". it's utterly bonkers & the production design is absolutely off the chain and i love it.

thank you! i am not very confident at drawing people so this prompt was a nice way for me to challenge myself

Saturn & Mimas :)
Black fineliner & marker drawing of Saturn as a person, sitting cross-legged and contentedly reading a book, with very long hair flowing around them to represent the rings. Nearby is the moon Mimas depicted as a napping cat.

i took up drawing this year and enjoy it a lot, i'm not good at it quite yet but it is cheap to start, fun, you can do it pretty much anywhere, and it's given me a nice confidence boost tbh because i was always convinced it was something i could never do. i like that i'm always learning something new with it too, and progressing in a visible way. i'm not looking at it with the aim of making money though, it's for fun & good for my brain. highly recommend.

creaky wooden ship on stormy seas or rainy day steam train noises are so nice for me

nah i left mastodon so i could have my own sharkey instance instead 😎

i do have a bluesky account but i don't feel compelled to post on there much tbh. it's fine, but i found it a lot harder to actually find interaction there even when i was making effort. also the feed system is balls (many feeds i use are frequently broken) and they only recently implemented hashtags, which almost nobody seems to use? there are definitely things i like about it too (the more casual vibe, for one) but at the end of the day it is another corporate platform, which i would prefer to spend minimal time on.
