My grandmother used to say: if you expect your good deed to be reciprocated, you’re not actually doing a good deed.
She said it in dutch, so I hope it’s an decent translation.

Tbh, reddit did win. They’re set to become a highly commercialized social media platform, focused on maximizing engagement through generic content.
They may lose dedicated eccentrics looking for a welcoming place to geek out over shit in their niche community. They’ll also lose users who value long in-depth discussions with complete internet strangers.
But, Reddit doesn’t want our need those people. As long as they have the generic subs (like r/funny, r/pics) and the outrage groups (like r/aita, r/publicfreakout), they’ll keep getting views and sweet sweet ad money. And that’s all Reddit cares about.
It’s a classic “rules for thee, but not for me” law. Good Faith judgment means the rich an powerful get access to while the poor and minorities do not.
Or money to buy things.
Wait. There are sword bras? Why has no one told me that there are sword bras? Guess who going bra shopping tomorrow!!!
Totally agree with this. The much hyped “nuclear explosion without CGI” looked like a run of the mill action film car bomb. I mean it was a good looking explosion. It just wasn’t wow.
The rest of the film is just … talking. Well-acted talking, well-written talking, but talking.
I liked Oppenheimer. Wasn’t wowed.
This is why I never understand why people use corruption to get public positions. You are incompetent. You know you are incompetent. If you weren’t incompetent, you would need corruption to get the job. Why would you want a job were your incompetence is made blatantly obvious?
Become a socialite or some other stupid shit.
He doesn’t say that. He said “improving working conditions for slaves is not an argument for slavery”.
He then goes on to say that 19th century slave-owners argued that slavery is good, because “slaves were better treated than wage laborers”. Which is an equally ridiculous argument in favor of slavery.
The idea that slaves had it better than workers is and always has been blatantly false, as evidenced by the many black people fleeing slavery in the south to be workers in the north and the non-existent line of northern workers attempting to become enslaved in the south.
Is this a hardcoded opt out or something? Couple of months ago I had to install windows for a friend. I tried to not make a windows account. All the exploits I found, were “patched”. I finally just gave up and made the account. My friend doesn’t care enough about privacy and I don’t care enough about windows for all that effort.
But, [email protected] would be awesome.
Wow. We can’t curse in a shitpost community. That’s… surprising.
Dude’s literally demented.
Fines as a percentage of revenue. A big percentage. That’ll stop this nonsense.
