Because we have conflicting methods of achieving our system and because for many Marxists, their "communism" would look very different than ours

Holy shit I can't believe this is not coming out!

I don't really think about reddit anymore.

The megathread is on the wiki. Anyone here can do it.

It's called prefiguration, and when it's wide praxis collapses the system, we don't need to setup a state again

Quit it with the badjacketing.

Nah mate, the way we defeat capitalism specifies on what we end up with, and if it is done with anarchist methods, there isn't going to be a state. And if we don't follow anarchist praxis, then we're not "doing it together", are we?

Looks like there's an automated bot banning based on downvote patterns, but from what I just learned, it can easily lead to false positives.

[–] db0 36 points 3 months ago (3 children)

Currently it does not, if someone really dislikes a community enough to down vote a post and then go through the effort to open it and also downvote the only comment, it's a strong signal they are not a good fit for the community

My educated opinion as someone writing such automation, is that this is a very flawed approach. All it would take is a post against the community ethos, to ban community regulars who downvoted it. If it has no comment threshold and no validation of the general sentiment of the post in the comm, it can easily lead to false positives.

I strongly suggest you tweak this approach.

Interesting, I don't see neither lemmy.world nor lemmy.dbzer0.com

It's a bit on the light side. I suggested an integration with fediseer to help people discover instances matching their interests more: https://github.com/fedidb/issues/issues/64

However looking at that issue tracker, I don't think it's being monitored at all.

fucker snapped at me for saying it's impossible to tell if they deserve it.

Very insightful video about the continuous history of French colonialism in Africa.

This time the issue was on the lemmy.world side where their federation worker responsible for lemmy.dbzer0.com, lemmy.blahaj.zone and lemmings.world among others b0rked and was sending 1 federation per minute at best. Unfortunately it seems just that single federation worker borked, which affected us again, because we're cursed apparently. Fortunately this meant that from our previous problems I had enough experience to know where to look. Unfortunately many people were thinking that existing issue along with some mbin spam was the problem, but it was a red herring in this case.

Anyway @[email protected] restarted their federation workers and now we're catching up again. Will take like a day for that to happen.

@[email protected] @[email protected] you should see your queues catching up quickly now.
