Yeah and apparently they're low quality (480p) and not fully complete either. Whatever, I already waited almost 3 years, waiting a few more months is not a problem outside of avoiding spoilers.
This is the first fully animated Looney Tunes film to be released in theaters worldwide. And Warner Bros refuses to release it themselves and basically pawns it a off to some no name distributor. Absolutely wild. At least we're getting a release for this unlike Coyote vs. Acme.
I'm only halfway through but unfortunately I agree with you so far. I remember almost nothing about Batman TAS so I don't think I'm negatively polarized against Caped Crusader because of nostalgia. If anything I inadvertently compare it to MAWS, which I think is better.
The animation is not great.
When they're running it's kind of hilariously bad. Is it meant to emulate TAS?
Yeah, unfortunately this is more and more true every year. And it's been bad for a while.
Deadpool & Wolverine was solid. If you liked the first 2 you'll like this one. If you didn't then you'll probably not like this one either, unless you're just a huge Wolverine fan. It very much is a Deadpool movie first and foremost for all the good and bad that entails. The one advantage this one has over the previous 2 is that there is some real pathos here courtesy of Hugh Jackman being a very good actor. I think the Cable stuff from the second film kind of touches on similar emotions but it's better done here.
A Quiet Place: Day One was excellent. I really liked this movie. They captured the tension and confusion of the situation phenomenally. Excellent acting, great set pieces, tight plot. I think the bar scene was incredibly heartfelt. It does kind of struggle with the same issue that the other movies do in that how the monsters work doesn't really make a whole lot of sense if you really think about it. But that's not really what the movie is about and it's easy to overlook when you're watching.
I see a few reasons:
I have also heard stories about schools and psychology institutes getting tickets for teachers/members because the films are seen as a good entry point for understanding children's emotions. But that was from randos online so I'm not sure how true that is.
Global Comix
One of my earliest memories is watching this movie as a kid and being absolutely enthralled by Cameron Diaz.
Oh interesting. I wonder if it's going to be Spiderman '94 related. Or maybe tied to one of the recent MCU announcements.
I agree the animation was pretty bad for season 2 but I thought the voice acting was mostly stellar. Were there specific instances that bothered you?
Maybe it's just the communities I frequent, but I think it did carry over. There's a lot of sarcastic comments, holier than thou comments, and meme comments on Lemmy just like Reddit.
Edit: Also, a lot of negativity.
