The form factor of the sodastream is nice, but I’m confused that a keg setup wasn’t getting the water fizzy enough. Getting a small adapter to transfer from a bigger tank to a sodastream canister is the simplest solution imo.

Yeah I use a 5lb tank to refill the sodastream canister, probably costs me around $5 per refill (compared to the $23 they charge). Saving money and boycotting an evil company feels good.

Check out the Hisense e-ink phones. Not great if you watch videos, but for normal phone things they seem awesome.

One thing DA 2 did really well (though a deviation from the crpg formula) was making it feel like your companions had lives of their own. When doing their quests it felt like you were joining them on their own adventure, as opposed to just waiting in camp to follow you.

I’m a simple person, if I see pronouns, I upvote.

DE is probably the best modern RPG for giving you options beyond good and evil. Your build determines a ton about what your experience is, so even if you’re doing the same general choices for the game you’ll end up with a very different experience. Another big change will be you political ideology, which can be fascist, lib or commie. And on top of that you pick how you deal with your personal arc, which can be to stay drug/booze addled, clean up your act, or a few options in between.

“Evil” would probably be fascist + drugs, but there’s layers of nuance. The game is amazing and the writing is the best of the decade+. I’d give it a shot.

I’ve been thinking about ways to have some recourse for aggro cagers. I feel like there are two options, carry something obvious that encourages them to leave you alone, or carry something that wouldn’t trigger a violent reaction. Smashing a car with my u-lock would feel amazing, but that’s asking for a fight that I’m not really interested in.

I’ve been thinking about carrying stickers to slap on cars, most people won’t notice till I’m long gone, and it’s not a huge deal to remove. And I’m petty enough to feel good about knowing I’ve slightly inconvenienced them.

Yeah the US reaction to the balloon says very little about their defence policy and a whole lot about their propaganda policy and how complicit the army is in it.

Ok I tried the Liftoff app and it worked! I can see all the glorious emojis again.

Anyone know an iOS app that supports emojis? Memmy shows them but it fucks with all the text in the post. Just tried Voyager and it displays the name of the image, but at least I can read the post.

Many white British Columbians will think of themselves as good little liberals and not racist or anything like that. But for some reason making racist comments about Chinese people is perfectly acceptable to many of these same people.

I mean, it’s clear that the Iraq war did have nothing to do with 9/11, but I’m guessing that wasn’t the point being made.
