This is a general request to help in anyway you can. Water is off for a Black trans disabled person and their Black disabled roommate. We missed the initial goal, just $70 short, it’s now $480 to restore before noon. They're dealing with inflammation and chronic illness scares, ones that desperately need a doctor. please help in any ways so they are not pushing so hard on their body!

Hi friends, a Black chronically ill household is fighting multiple imminent shutoffs-- each is a major risk to lease being terminated. Even if not terminated, landlord will yoink their deposit.

we just spend all day Monday trying to restore power that was also very abruptly shut off. their body is paying the price for the stress.

On a older post someone mentioned that by state law they must be granted a legal process before actually being kicked out... but i think its enough to say that we've been attempting to raise this for 7 months. an extra month of court prolongs panic, must be avoided

E is a disabled mother of 3 kids under 6y/o, whom she lost custody of recently after she was kicked out of where she had been couch surfing. They're with her aunt who had kicked them out in May...

I took a 1k loan out in late 2023. Up until June 2024, I had a job to cover that... The monthly payments are $85, which was doable w/ freelancing & some crowdfunding! But its not gone well lately.

Can't state how deeply I'd appreciate anything for these finals payments because this is really taking my focus away from other important things as well as really, really affecting the wrong people. I've been handling their campaign for months... T__T thank you sm!!!

Hello every buddy. :] A friend & comrade pointed me to this site and the first thing i said was "this is literally everything i was led to believe bluesky would be" Super grateful to be shown the true light. The disillusionment with butterfly app..... it is gnarly. I am being silly about it, but when I've been doing what i can to help another trans friend (who's Black and disabled) in the middle of needing to be rehoused (needing for the past months... well. it is also frustrating & scary! Completely different feeling to when i come here and immediately see Palestinian donation incentives on the front page.

This site has been a breath of fresh air. But i'm also so confused. LOL. What's it like here? Did i miss any etiquette? what do you guys talk about the most? What do you call this type of social media? Is it even a social media?! -- Feel free to answer one or all or none, I'm just happy to be here.

Would it be ok to drop some art, too?? Queer & trans art (& gay people in beautiful landscapes) is the #1 thing i love drawing & sharing most but, I've failed to connect with anyone who cares about the same things i do T_T especially anyone queer.
