I am sure he wants this body of work to be his crowning achievement for years to come. Personally, I forget about Avatar until one of these movies hits the PR trail. I literally don't remember much about them after the next one is in theaters. Why couldn't it have been a 5 movie Aliens achievement? Oh well, to each his own.

What is ironic about it, Netflix is the king of cancelled series, yet they green light this self-contained story for a S2. I predict a lot of buffoonery and 'Yes' "men" working at the top of Netflix.

What are you talking about? I can see my headline might be confusing, meant to be a play on words, as he has a shady past, but the Blackrock employees were hit and injured, so it did have to do with Blackstone.

The WSJ reports that a Blackstone employee was shot in the lobby.

The WSJ says several Blackstone employees needed hospital treatment.

Thanks for the extended info. I agree about the shootings. I never understood why lone gun"men" always chose schools and Walmart parking lots. If you are crazy and want to go down guns-blazing, why not aim for the real evils of this world, the ones causing so much pain for no other reason but greed, the oligarchs and their ilk?

🤣...was it? I was planning to watch it tonight. Might be rethinking this decision.

Indeed, lots of great 'slippage' moments. As the adage goes and holds true here, if a politician is opening their mouth, they are lying.

Do Quokkas Actually Throw Their Babies At Predators?

This question started as an online joke, and as time went on, people started taking it seriously. The answer to the question isn’t that simple, however. Firstly, it should be noted that no, quokkas don’t throw their babies at predators. That is a joke, but it is somewhat based on reality. Quokkas keep their young in their pouches, and while fleeing from predators, babies are known to fall out and are then left there by their parents.

The thing that is interesting here is that the part where they fall out of the pouch may be done on purpose by the mothers. Research shows that this may be an actual anti-predator characteristic of quokkas. They normally have very strong control over the muscles in their pouches, so their response to the threat of predators may be to release those muscles. The babies are left there to attract the attention of the predator, and the parents can safely escape. Mothers want to save themselves because they have proven that they are fertile, while the young might not be.
