I wasn’t going to try it in the first place, but good to know I guess

No, I don’t think so. Most of the video is a surface-level, but generally accurate, description of anarchism.
Boogaloo Boys are a far-right accelerationist organization/movement that are named after their desire to launch a second civil war in America (“Civil War 2: Electric Boogaloo”). They’re closer to being Proud Boys or Three Percenters than they are to reading Kropotkin or organizing with Food Not Bombs.
I would say this is similar to how “anarcho”-capitalists try to lay claim to anarchism while espousing right-wing ideas. They might try to claim the name, but their ideology is far from anarchist in actuality.
I’m in the same boat. SimpleLogin is a nice feature, but if this is Proton’s position, they don’t get more of my money.
Firefox Relay seems like a good, free choice?
At first, I thought it was a pretty good video aimed at people unfamiliar with the ideas of anarchism. Then they said that Boogaloo Boys are anarchists, which is not at all accurate. Crash Course is misinforming their audience here, unfortunately.
So he’s walking back and watering down what he said because they’ve gotten so much backlash?
I could handle it if it was the CEO’s personal position - still gross, but whatever. To have this be the company’s official political position, though, I think I’m out.

Ah yes, we need fewer nationwide gatherings of solidarity to build connections and prepare to work together over the next few years, and more fruitless calls for violence. That will definitely work.
When I was in high school, I excelled in math and science, so I was pushed super hard to go into engineering for college. I ended up changing majors eventually, but holy shit did I not understand just how strong the engineering school -> “defense” industry pipeline is. They recruit engineering students hard
It was an eye-opening experience, realizing just how many people were comfortable working for these companies as long as they got a fat paycheck
Cool, thank you! I’ll have to give it a read :)
It sounds like we have similar long term plans! For what it’s worth, I’ve heard that homesteading can be great for folks with ADHD, since there are such a wide variety of ways to approach it and tasks that need doing, that it sates our need for novelty to stay engaged with things.
It is pretty much just scaremongering. Marijuana, like any drug, can put a person in a mental state that can serve as a trigger for a psychological condition that someone is prone to, like if someone with a family history of anxiety gets way too uncomfortably high. It’s not necessarily the drug that’s at fault - it’s having a stressful experience of a bad time. I’ve never heard of psychosis induced by cannabis though.
Marijuana is just about the safest drug there is, and I think most people could safely try it with no ill effects.
