Brisbane is nothing like America, where people can buy houses at 1/4 of the price we do and can buy everything they need at half the price, like furniture appliances and cars. American has 10x more cities than we do.

Brisbane is a shit area and peaked in about 1985-1995 according to my dad. He finished HS just before Expo88 and said it was probably the best time to live in Brisbane. He said that back then you could barely even see one person who was from India or Asia.

Because they are exhausted. By the greedy rental housings, By the prices of tobacco and alcohol and food at the Coles and Woolies. And by the nice bogans in the traffic making the roads all grid locked. So why do they want the Olympics. For the bux. Get those bux renting out the house for 1 month to a bunch of foreigners and charge the 100,000 for the privileges. Im 'gonna be a RICH! One thing is certainly, the Expo 88 is something they will talk about 10 years later the Olympics. HEY REMEMBER THE EXPO? YEAH WAS'T THE OLYMPICS CRAP IN COMPARE!?
