Snip:

The Israeli army announced on 8 July the deaths of five soldiers and the injury of over a dozen others due to an ambush laid by resistance fighters in the northern Gaza Strip the night before.

According to an initial army investigation, infantry soldiers from the Kfir Brigade's Netzah Yehuda Battalion were hit by a roadside explosive device. The army confirmed that rescue forces also came under fire while working to evacuate the casualties.

Among the 14 soldiers wounded in the ambush were two who were listed as being in serious condition.

The northern city of Beit Hanoun, where the ambush took place, had been heavily bombarded ahead of the army’s operations in the area, and had reportedly been secured by the Israeli military. The ambush took place shortly after 10:00 pm on Monday evening.

Tribal representatives in the occupied West Bank city of Hebron have rejected a reported proposal to establish a so-called “tribal emirate” in exchange for recognizing Israel as a Jewish state, Anadolu Agency reported on 7 July.

The proposal, first revealed by the Wall Street Journal, alleged that Hebron tribal leaders sent a letter to Israeli Economy Minister Nir Barkat, offering formal recognition of Israel in return for being appointed as representatives of Arab residents in Hebron and setting a timetable to join the US-led Abraham Accords.

In a press conference on Sunday, Hebron tribal figure Nafez al-Jaabari denounced the offer and declared the community’s rejection of the initiative.

As you can see, there are a few stories touched on in the brief clip. Bill adds to a pile of burning books while an unknown character serenades the scene. Bobby and Hank seem to be trapped in a walk-in cooler or storage room, possibly at Bobby's restaurant. Boomhauer joyfully embraces a reluctant Hank.

And, perhaps most touchingly, Joseph Gribble joyfully rides on horseback alongside his biological father John Redcorn, apparently getting the bonding moment they've always deserved as father and son.

Melting glaciers may be silently setting the stage for more explosive and frequent volcanic eruptions in the future, according to research on six volcanoes in the Chilean Andes.

Presented today [Tuesday 8 July] at the Goldschmidt Conference in Prague, the study suggests that hundreds of dormant subglacial volcanoes worldwide – particularly in Antarctica – could become more active as climate change accelerates glacier retreat.

A judge in Madrid has ordered the closure of 10 tourist flats in a single building in the city centre after a landmark ruling that said “the illicit and unsanitary activities” taking place in them had inflicted psychological damage on a neighbouring family and violated their fundamental right to privacy.

The family, who have two children and who have not been named, said they had suffered stress, anxiety and sleep deprivation because of the loud, drunken, destructive and lewd behaviour of guests, which included vandalism, vomiting and having sex in the block’s communal areas.
