In terms of size and weight, they are perfect. But the screens on my DS and 2DS are too dim. Now I play DS games via emulation on much better screens.

Do you ever use your Steam Deck handheld for long gaming sessions? I don't mind the size but the weight give me cramps.

I created this community because I love talking about games (probably more than actually playing the games). I think having open-ended questions is a great way to start such conversations.

I recently was deciding between the Steam Deck and a Switch 2, and at the end I chose the Switch 2 because of the lighter weight. I thought the Steam Deck would be too heavy for my weak hands. After spending some time with the Switch 2, I found it also being too heavy for longer gaming sessions.I bought a grip case to make it more ergonomic to hold, but still it gets tiring in less than an hour.

The Switch Lite has the perfect weight, but too many games have tiny text and UI designed for bigger screens.

Super Mario Galaxy is one of my favourites too. Amazing soundtrack and the levels are innovative, fun without being too long.

Thanks again I will give SC2 a try. I prefer pixel art and I want to see the original artists' vision, so I will try the original game first.

E33 is the top game on my wishlist. The only reason I haven't bought it yet is that I'm not sure if my relaxes are too slow for the QTE combat.

I started playing Disco Elysium just yesterday, and I quite like Kim. The voice actor tried to mimic an accent but it doesn't sound like Japanese or Korean.

I hated the game Tthe first time I tried Disco Elysium. The writing at the beginning is so pretentious. I understand the write tried to express the state of mind of the protagonist, but it just felt too annoying to read. I think I got through that part now, hopefully the writing will be more "normal" going forward.

Is Tales from the Borderlands good for someone without experience/interest in other Borderlands games? I like narrative games but not FPS.

Great, that should help me enjoy !brotlust@piefed.social (even though I am trying to keep my diet low-carb.)

That's good to know.

The AirPods Pro gen2 was released nearly 3 years ago. I'm not sure if it is the right time for me to buy one now, or wait for the next gen.

Stardew Valley is very low on my backlog because of the day/night cycle and time limits in the game. I know there are mods to slow down or even pause time... I might pick it up again eventually.

For now I find Fantasy Life to be a good alternative, very different gameplay but it doesn't pressure me to do anything within any timeframe.

For me it is Chloe from Detroit Become Human. I like her because she is beautiful, expressive, she breaks the fourth wall and evolve alongside with me the player. It is like she is being affected by my choices in the game.

Tokyo Jungle (2012) (media.piefed.social)

Tokyo Jungle is a science fiction survival action game developed by Crispy's! and Japan Studio and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation 3. The game takes place in a deserted, futuristic Tokyo, in which the city has transformed into a vicious wildlife wasteland.

I want a sequel/remake//remaster of this.

This game made me feel like the captain of a space ship. There was nothing like it at the time it was released, and even now I have not experienced any other game making me feel this way. I loved Fallout 3 too, but Mass Effect had something special. It was so well crafted, I listened to every dialogue of every NPC. The characters are so memorable with amazing voice acting. The Citadel is the best city in video games, felt really alive. Most sidequests add to the story instead of just padding the gameplay time.

After playing the game, I wondered how Star Wars (movies) sucked so badly, when a video game could create a much more interesting sci-fi world and story.

Unfortunately Bioware is no longer the same company.

Your photos might include information of the exact location and time of the photo taken, your photo/camera models etc. Companies, governments, or someone with bad intentions can use such information for their benefits against you. This can easily be accessed by AI as well.

On Windows 11:

  1. Right-click on the file
  2. Properties
  3. Details
  4. Remove properties and personal information

Lots of people don't care, but I guess this could be useful for some of you.

My Beats Studio Buds+ work well for calls in quiet environment, but when there is a bit a noise, the other side always complain that my voice sound muffled like I am under water.
