And I don't see any benefit in him leaving on a free next year, it's not like Kane with Spurs where he's guaranteed to drag them up the table if he stays another year.

My take on their center midfield targets is that Mount is a good player and would be good for them but he still doesn't solve their problem of progressive carries and tight possession. They need a De Jong type player and Mount definitely isn't that. But the midfield is very weak so he's an upgrade on what they have at least
