Technically something similar already exists in EU. Aing-Tii monks do not see the force as black or white, but as a rainbow. They mostly stayed to themselves except to fuck up some slavers from time to time, but they have taught at least 1 human their method of using the force.

It's more than mild, but Dolphins aren't as effected, iirc. It's pufferfish which has a toxin that can kill humans. While it's possible to touch and be safe because our skin will block it, small scrapes or accidentally getting it in our mouth or eyes etc could be incredibly dangerous, where as dolphins use their snouts and mouths and seem to get just a bit high.

Edit: also it's in some dispute whether it was intentionally getting high or just accidental poisoning.

I definitely often say water, usually because of the way it's asked, usually something like "What would you like to drink today?"

So it's usually just "water" or "I'll have water" or whatever drink in response. Glass of water sounds odd in response to me, especially since sometimes it's green tea which usually wouldn't come in a glass. Or coffee, etc

Same, I keep seeing people acting like Lemmy is full of young people, but I see a ton of people referencing stuff in our age range and older.

Matter energy equivalence, and the fact that decibels are a logarithmic scale. I found a reddit reply (I know, I know) that someone has done the math on, though I haven't checked if it's right. Anyway, it said:

20,000 decibels is 10^1997  watts, which is 10^1997  joules/second.

I think we can use P = p²/Z, where Z is 415 kg/m²s (impedance of air), to correlate our power P and the pressure p. So, p = sqrt(P/Z) which is still going to be on the order of 10^997  pascals.

The threshold we care about is 10^32  pascals, which is the pressure at which neutrons overcome their "degeneracy pressure", a pressure which prevents them from being too tightly packed. So, yes, that could collapse matter into black holes for sure for sure, since we're beating it by 965 orders of magnitude. Also, the pressure inside the sun is roughly 10^16  pascals.

Epidemiology too for RFK.

Yeah, neurodivergents do that from time to time. Mine isn't too bad usually with misunderstanding hyperbole and such, but I do have to still ask sometimes and occasionally miss jokes.

Edit I also thought you meant a bot instead of an actual robot...

No, what would make you think I am? I do work in customer service (MSP, customer contact etc) so I tend to speak in a way that is trying to be less inflammatory, but I dunno why that would make you think I'm a bot. I just answered your question.

The part where you implied many of us are? You said part of teams, so I took that to mean you meant part of teams that get new hires. If you meant only HR or recruiting people, then I don't understand why your wording suggests it's a significant portion of the people reading the post.

Ahh, I hadn't heard that exact one, but it makes sense.

Yeah, iirc it started as a tip for getting them in baths. Peanut butter on the bathroom wall where they can lick it. Then the "Internet made it fucky" alarm went off.

Could be a peanut butter joke too.
