I blocked reddit at the router level o prevent any accidental traffic from my network since the blackout. In a few months after the dust has settled, I plan to write a script to edit my posts (slowly at one per minute) to say something else, then go back and erase all posts, one by one. But I'm not doing it now since they appear to have a script preventing people from bulk erasing/deleting posts

Don't know! I have a bit of experience using Auto-It so I'm going to try and program it to tab through the old.reddit page and edit each post then move on to the next post. I assume using the edit button I could copy all text, then write it to a word document in something like an XML format which could then be imported into software.
But again, this is all based on theory, I haven't done any actual code or testing yet. Just based on previous experiences making simple programs to access websites and do specific things via a browser to mimic human interactions with the site. It's a very slow unreliable and inefficient way of doing things lol

As others have mentioned, Linux Mint is my preferred distro.
knubuntu is awesome if you like/need KDE, but Gnome works well enough for my needs these days.
I installed Linux Mint on a computer for my (computer illiterate) big brother a decade ago and I'm pretty sure he's still running that computer. Just helped a veteran friend who had a 5 year old lenovo laptop dual boot a fresh copy of Linux Mint and he's tickled - it's restored function to his old laptop and it recognized all the hardware to my surprise - even when he tapped the screen and the touch screen responded (I was not expecting that, coming from Linux 10-15 years ago lol).
I'm seriously considering dual-booting to Linux mint myself as my high end Windows10 HP Envy 32-inch AIO PC has always been glitchy from day-one (computer will randomly freeze up once or twice a month with the GPU fan spinning up to high speed for no reason).
I hadn't made the switch because Windows was easier from a productivity standpoint, but that has quickly changed. Windows is trying to inject more advertising while getting more buggy with every update. I'd rather play with a stable version of Linux Mint these days

I spent years writing content for reddit to share with the world. If they won't share with the world, they won't get a copy either.
Ported subwoofers are far superior to sealed subwoofers. Most people prefer "sealed" because it's more forgiving of box sizes and dimensions. But it sounds like garbage - ported subwoofer boxes provide a much more dynamic range of sound allowing them to "blend" better with other speakers in the setup.

Same. I moved to a place "bikeably" close to the things I needed most (like post office for my work). Every day of the week I toss on some ANC headphones (transparency mode enabled) and head out for a 10 mile bike ride to drop off mail and explore the neighborhoods as I burn some calories and jam out to some tunes. I have a nice size tactical backpack which I use as my "trunk" to carry stuff around (as well as spare parts/tools to fix my bike on the go if needed)
An E-bike is high on my wish-list, but I'm letting the "market" mature and see where things end up so I can get something with an upgrade/repair path to replace the batteries as they age. But I would love to ditch the car for 90% of my weekly needs.
For now I keep my bike tuned up and enjoy the workout.
I don't know about you but I enjoy biking because I see the same regular people in the neighborhoods all the time, if nothing more than a friendly smile and a hello - you don't get that same interaction with people when you're driving everywhere.
Yeah I've used Linux before, I started with command line back with Microsoft DOS and Windows 3.1 back in the day. Just stopped using it because it lacked compatibility and WINE was still not quite evolved enough to be usable for much. I'm not a gamer so that's not a big hassle.
But I've started playing with linux mint again on a friend's older laptop and impressed at how far it's come (little things like automatically detecting the touch-screen on his laptop, or the wireless printer in the other room without having to tell it anything) make it far easier to use.
I honestly think I'm ready to make the switch for good on my nice 32" HP All-in-one Envy PC - windows just keeps getting more buggy on this computer with every new windows update lol.
What flavor/distro are you currently rocking?
Yup, I totally have been making the switch to Open-Source software or browser-based software (like Photopea) for the past few years to ensure I'd be able to easily make the switch when windows finally pisses me off enough. But I think I'm already at that stage - every major windows-10 update seems to break more and more features on my computer lol
Yeah? I tried Linux Mint Cinnamon edition on a friend's computer and the Gnome they're running seemed sufficient for my needs. Is KDE really that much better "out of the box" without the need to customize?
Cool, I've been looking for an excuse to move to Linux again. I tried ubuntu years ago but it was too limited in features and capabilities to fully replace windows for my productivity needs. Time for me to dual-boot so I can start getting more practice with Linux (Probably going to go for Linux Mint this time around)

Did you know the software will only display none or at most a single 4-second skipable ad if you watch less than 15 minutes of youtube a month? I hear people complain about 5-15+ minute youtube commercials and laugh because I've never dealt with that.
The secret is to literally just stop watching youtube (and television in general). The content you find on Youtube, Netflix, Hulu, etc is all going down hill quickly.
