Wasn't there a huge deal when they skipped from Win8.1 to Win10 - and they pinky promised that Windows10 was the last version of Windows, and they'd simply release major updates every so often? Pepperidge farm remembers.

I'm already tired of my buggy Windows10. I have no desire for Win11 or Win12. I'm installing dual boot with Linux Mint on a few different machines and never looking back haha

I hated my gas trimmer, so I bought a 40v Ryobi expand-it trimmer a few years ago. It's not perfect but damn it works reliably - sure I need to let the brush cutter attachment "spin up" before I can hack away at heavy brush, but it's worked great for almost four years.

Then I got a leaf blower which has been amazing, and then a 14-inch chainsaw for my partner who loves it. Just recently I decided to toss my old lawnmower and finally buy a cheap ryobi 40v mower off the classifieds ($200 in almost new condition with a 6amp battery). With headphones on, I sometimes forget my new mower is actually running! My next goal is to upgrade my 18v pole saw to the 40v pole saw version.

I'm thrilled to eliminate small engine lawn tools from my lifestyle - the brushless motor tech combined with higher voltage lithium batteries has been amazing.

By this point we have half a dozen Ryobi 40v batteries and cycle through them as needed. We have enough power to mow what we need and trim down without recharging a single battery.

It feels like a Sauna...... and I LOVE it lol. Of course I don't have to work outside in it all day long and it does suck to cut the grass in the middle of the day. But still I enjoy that wave of heat/humidity mixed with a slight ocean breeze when I step outside in the summer time

Some people gently simmer the stems in whole milk - the fat in the milk binds to the vapor reclaim in the stems. After "cleaning" the stems you remove from the milk (the will be fine to cool down naturally on their own - just don't throw them into cold water instantly lol). Take that milk, throw in some chocolate and make yourself a sedative hot-chocolate drink!

Lol fair enough there are some absolutely beautiful phones these days (I love the newer pixel design with the cameras horizontally along the aluminum back bezel), but I am a practical person and I prefer longevity over aesthetics. I'm a #buyitforlife type person which is probably why I'm still happy with my old phone - it's not in perfect shape with a shattered glass back panel hidden behind a UAG case, but the phone just keeps chugging along so I can't justify buying a new one (aside from the fact that the camera is feeling a bit dated these days and I could use a mildly better one for my business needs)

To each is own if you're willing to take that risk, more power to ya!

Yeah I have a Galaxy S9 I got in 2018 and it's still going strong (enough). I've thought about an upgrade but I'm really just waiting for my S9 to die hahaha.

I've had galaxy phones since the original Samsung Galaxy, but I think it's time to move on to another brand. I am seriously considering a pixel for my next phone

I'll never understand how someone can keep a phone without a case. Even if you're careful there's still a chance of dropping it. I can't tell you how many times my UAG case has saved my phones. I'm still on the same Galaxy S9 phone I've had for six YEARS (yes, I know it's time to upgrade but my phone just won't die lol)

More simple than that - I'll likely use AutoItScript for windows - literally automate clicking links or simulating keystrokes (like the tab key) until it reaches the desired link then clicking the edit function, revising text, tab to the save button, saving change, and repeat over and over.

It's crude and inefficient, but I have over twenty years experience using the code for various small tasks so I'm sure I'll get the job done.

Just not sure when I want to start - I feel like they are still playing tricks un-deleting content and such for people using automated API code. So for now I've simply blocked reddit at the router level for another month or two before I go back and start writing my code to automate the deletion of 10+ years worth of content.

So I'm not a traditional programmer - I don't use a lot of the common software and such. I have a lot of prior experience using AutoItScript automated software so I'll probably use that to mimic keystrokes and clicks on my computer screen once I have programmed exact positions for things - it'll likely be a very specific set of code for my computer.

But I may create an account on github and share if there's enough interest lol

I don't trust those snakes. I'm working on code to use reddit's website and edit comments one at a time (one per minute so they don't think it's bot activity) and I'm going to deploy the code a month or two from now after the API is gone - because I want them to think they've "won" before I over-write and then erase a decade's worth of content
