Kbin has instance blocking, community/magazine blocking, and user blocking.

Kbin doesn't have instance blocking yet, just domain blocking, which is for hiding posts that link to a particular domain. Domain blocking is also bugged right now, and will just hide random stuff from you.

Reddit, since I never got into twitter. Also I don't think kbin currently has a way to just see microblog posts by people you're following, you end up seeing all the content from the hashtags of the magazines you're subscribed to. I think that would need to be separated to allow for twitter-like usage.

The irony is that if they were merely antifascists that were dunking on racists and transphobes, a lot of people would genuinely appreciate them. The tankie brain-rot ruins that though.

Edit: this post has more likes than any other one on this entire comm 💀

I just noticed this edit. Literally no?

Looks like Hexbear might be ignoring non-local upvotes

Fixed it

I actually rejoined this community with the new round of Hexbear drama. Figured there should be some good material. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

So I've read all of your reply, but at this point I feel the need to wrap this up. I need to get back to working on other things besides writing internet essays. XD

You've given me some things to think about. Maybe I'll bump up the priority on my credit network project. Thank you for the conversation. :)

I'm confused. There doesn't seem to be anything happening in this image?

Don't you think you've created enough dead communities?

Just a heads up, Hexbear apparently opened up federation with shitjustworks recently, and there's a discussion thread over there about it. I made a comment there linking to this comment chain.

So I was just looking through literature.cafe a bit, and came across this excellent comment chain by Janvier. It outlines the history and culture of Hexbear, and makes a very solid argument for defederating them.

TL;DR- Don't defederate Hexbear because they're a bunch of genocide-apologist authoritarians. Defederate them because they're annoying, and will burn out your moderators.

I see a small corner of the lemmyverse...

I see your instance...
...alone...

And a lot of defederations...

Jesus that's a lot of defederations...

Unfortunately I don't have much in the way of good advice to give here. My game development experience is mostly limited to the project I posted in this thread, plus a number of ideas that I failed to actually start working on.
