In Austria, some things like ground beef are ordered in decagrams. My wife used to get confused responses when she tried that in Germany :).

I watched a few slightly older shows recently: Killjoys, which I really couldn't get into, and now Dark Matter. I'm finding it a bit cliched, but I like it so far.

I use simplyTel and am pretty happy: https://www.simplytel.de/

Also, I feel way out of touch. I have 3 GB and very rarely reach the limit.

I've been using it at work, where my work email is in Gmail. I find it a good desktop email client, though even with its redesign, some things show their age. I also find that if you're using Google for your mail, there is still some stuff lacking. I blame Google more for that than Thunderbird though :).

So in short, I call it good enough (I like it way better than Apple's Mail and Calendar programs), but it is still bas a ways to go to be great.

Thanks! I found the instructions here, which don't seem too hard: https://blog.voip.ms/voip-on-cell-phones-ios-and-android/

But otherwise, VoIP.ms looks pretty much like what I'm looking for. It also seems super super cheap for my needs (keep a phone number alive, make a few calls or SMSes per year).

It's not as fully-featured as the Emacs one, but yes: https://github.com/nvim-orgmode/orgmode

A good suggestion, and I've heard a lot about it over the past week :). I haven't played Baldur's Gate since the first one, and I was a bit too young for itr back then. Just bought it and it's downloadin now

XCOM is a great idea. I played it years ago, but never made it to the end.

Oh wow, there's some nostalgia.

I've done Monkey Island already, and enjoyed the new one too. I haven't played Myst sine I was 8 and my uncle had it on his computer and I had absolutely no idea what I was doing.
