My fave minimalist loss: ~~:.|:;~~

There are plenty of working-class people that still vote Republican, for a variety or reasons, and I think it is good to try to appeal to them. I don't think Ds should appeal to them by attacking immigrants or trans people or any other marginalized group, but they do need to appeal to them. Working Families Party seems to be carrying some water there.

I do agree that a loud and proud commitment to the truth (and matching rejection of MAGA fables) is a component. But, I think broad, sweeping denigration doesn't help -- individually, in-person, explaining to someone why their stated believe are wrong and objectionable can work (and in fact, seems to work better that just shunning/ostracization). But, calling everyone that voted for any R your low-intelligence or low-morality slur of choice (e.g.: "idiot" or "deplorable") over mass / social media just strengthens the group identity.

Of course, I talk a big game, but I'm not doing anything real. I don't know what I'd do where I'm at; it feels like a lost cause, and I can't stray too far from the house due to familial duties.

I think that's the Dewey decimal system, which inspired the Chewy decimal system, which is the next innovation in grocery store layouts.

No War but Class War

I don't know what "going low" means, but if we discard our morals and dehumanize our opponents to get into power, that's still a fascist regime in power.

I do agree that we need candidates that will wield political power to favor the working class and reduce marginalization. Depending on where you are check out Working Families Party or Sunrise Movement.

I have FF installed, and set it as my default. (It's what links from Tusky use, at least.) I just happened to use the OS search bar which always (?) uses the Android browser.

I have UBO installed on FF because it's the only way browsing the web leaves any content visible anymore.

Close enough, then. Not just fascism, Nazis. Even if the Nazis weren't directly in power, it sounds like they are in the causal chain for the timezone being so much different from solar time. Thanks for the clarification / confirmation.

National Socialists or just fascists in general?

Side note, why does this link above go through Google?

Android browser share button doesn't copy the URL as shown. It prefixes the title to the clipboard content to help hide (behind "too long text") that it secretly, unprompted, uses the share.google link shortener / tracking service.

I got bit by it within the last week. Fuck that feature.

I think it used to have a way to actually copy the URL, but most mobile browsers are making that harder for a variety of reasons.

The old 3.5e Epic Level Handbook had 10th level spells, and the rules surrounding their use.

So, maybe you could use a 10th level spell slot to stengthen Wish?

I haven't played D&D this century, and the last Pathfinder I ran was lower level and we only did 1 or 2 actual play sessions before scheduling fell apart. (Also, I'm a pretty bad DM, even working from an existing published campaign; people just want me to be GM because I can remember rules.)

EDIT: 10th 11th and 12th.

On /r/Haskell there was a pinned, monthly thread so that people could ask questions without creating a new top-level post.

  • I'd like to increase traffic to here (or some other Haskell Fediverse threaded-conversation group). Do you think a thread like that might help?
  • Does pinning work here? It's probably not necessary given the posts/month currently, but I suppose it's something to keep in mind.
  • Anyone got a link to Lemmy/KBin/ActivityPub Haskell library that I could use to write a bot, or some other way to schedule a post for yyyy-mm-01T00:00:00Z ?
