@[email protected] Man I really need to give Elite Dangerous a go. I'be been a Star Citizen player for a long time, but there is something really appealing about Elite. I like how the ships feel heavier, the fuel-scooping mechanic is cool. and the way they do Quantum Travel is soooo much better than SC.

@fm0d @vreraan Haha, this was basically my journey over to #Linux ๐Ÿ˜‚ And frankly, it was also my journey over to the #Fediverse as a whole! One day I just decided that enough was enough, and I had to practice what I preached.

So here I am, Linux, Fediverse and all!

@WhoRoger Let's not forget the fact that Lemmy and Kbin are both connected to the broader Fediverse, thanks to the AcitivityPub protocol! In other words, might be 1 mill Lemmy-accounts, but many more mill potential users that could interact with the content even without Lemmy or Kbin! ๐Ÿ˜„

@rosatherad @polaroid This is very much how it works with Mastodon, you can basically export your data and hop to another instance whenever you like!

Honestly this is how it should work, for all of the #Fediverse. Migration should not be a second thought, but an integrated and assumed part of using the fediverse. I've jumped servers 3 times on Mastodon, because I kept finding a "better" home for myself and my interests. Finding the right place takes time!

@zauri27 I've been burnt too many times by fancy trailers and beautiful graphics... I mean, I'm a Star Citizen backer, I was fooled by pretty JPEGS! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Most of the innovative things happen within the Indie community it seems, with people who are truly connected to their projects. They are driven by love for their craft AND the profit, unlike AAA-studio executives that focus only on the profits.
