I used to use xmpp, jabber, and ICQ. I one of a few in school that used it. It wasn't really popular to the general population. I would believe sms and smartphones really killed it.
How is that possible?
They are fine with removing regulations because "the market" will balance it out
But then you don't know that people in your linked in network find some random interesting.

Kind of, but not exactly what I'm looking for. It looks to be mostly web comic strips, which is great, but I'm looking for more comic book focused community or comics with longer stories.
