Yeah, I wonder what might might cause the American people to be inured to crime and violence. We see oligarchs making a mockery of the law almost constantly, not to even mention the ridiculous appeals to "rules based international order" abroad.

I don't know why you think people cannot be blamed for the role they choose to have in society. That's very weird. And if that's not the point you're trying to make I'm not sure what it is.

I was answering the question you asked, which was about whether or not he had committed any crimes. And like I said it's beside the point, which you seem to agree with.

I definitely wouldn't stop working, but I would have more flexibility to try things like taking a risk on something entrepreneurial or choosing to work in a field that aligns with my values, salary be damned. That cannot be allowed.

Any measure that reduces the leverage employers have over labor will not be simply given to us. People fought and died to get what little control we have, and it's been whittled away for decades.

I take downvotes as an admission of guilt to my observations, thanks.

That's not a very reliable way to determine that. Might as well admit something like "I take the shape of the tea leaves to mean that I am correct."

Agreed. It's touch optimized, not mouse and keyboard. That's not a criticism!

He was being sued for insider trading for dumping his stock before an investigation went public and lowered its value. So technically, he probably was a criminal. But this is all very much beside the point.

I love Voyager on mobile but feel constrained by it on desktop. (It reminds me of using Gnome, which is not my personal preference.)

On a related note, is anyone working on a CEO assassination simulator?

Ah, this is so cool. I have been absolutely loving Aurora. Maybe I can make a check point and rebase to this to try it out.

Interesting, every example people have given you in response is pretty weak. (I'm not saying I agree with Nintendo have any exclusive claim here.)

Is there good humor somewhere on Lemmy?
