Idk man this seems pretty apolitical

I assume he meant that just because someone believes in something separate from their scientific work doesn't affect their credibility.

An easy thought experiment is if an astronomer believes that when an ostrich is scared it buries its head in the ground. Does this affect their work?

If a surgeon believes in destiny doesn't mean that their work is subpar or that they sabotage their work because it might be someone's destiny to die.

True but by the time they decide to make a move they would've reinforced DC. And there's a bunch of military bases right there.

Even if you took them by surprise by the time you make it into any building VIPs would be secured and the military preparing a counter offensive.

There is no successful rebellion against the US government with support of the military

The US, or any country in fact, is unlikely to give up a chunk of its land because some civilians have machine guns.

I think they'd rather flatten it before considering doing so.

Lets say California through Texas want to have a rebellion. How long do you think it's going to last after the army blockades all the freeways and imposes a curfew.

Believe me I'd sleep a lot easier believing that if the government goes too far we can topple it. But when was the last time you saw something like that happen without the support of the military or the vast vast majority of the population in support.

And the American people will not rally together due to their strong allegiance to their respective political party

EU won't risk such a thing if the US is unlikely to collapse.

The only and I do mean only scenario I see an armed resistance succeeding in toppling ghe government is if a decent chunk of the military sides with it and partakes in the insurrection

Your house in the suburbs is an easy target and one in the boonies is an easier one.

Hard to organize an armed resistance when you're so spread out and your best cover is made of drywall.

Though I do love your username

Who says they didn't give them the money they paid to the victims

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 months ago

Probably just told to say so by Trump to end the discussions

I honestly don't see what's wrong with that

When a direction button is clicked. It will move and then a moment later move 3-5 times again in quick succession.

Has anyone had such an issue and if so what did you do to solve this

Just because they're incompetent doesn't mean they kill civilians on accident. It's pretty easy no to shoot someone surrendering, or an ambulance, or a child, or bomb a UN building, or read the word "press"

Mistakes are not mistakes when they are the status quo

I can get one for a couple hundred. Is it worth it?
