I haven’t tried it myself but it would only be “sort of”. Their official servers use Faceit anti-cheat which doesn’t work, but community servers can also choose to use EAC which should allow Linux play

Just out of curiosity, why'd you go with emulating the PS2 over the PC version? I've also played around in that version and I wouldn't necessarily say it's the best way to experience it.
Fair, but that’s also on purpose, to reduce the chance of accidental calls. It’s why this 5-press system seems to have issues, there is no second validation. You should never be in a situation where you’re uncertain if you triggered an emergency call or not.
