What kind of data is Duolingo amassing that anyone would care about? just checked the permissions, and it doesn't have anything enabled which would not be necessary for it to function. Unless the government is interested in my mangled pronunciations of foreign words?

I don't know how to insert a picture into a reply, apparently. It's two feet off the wall, and she goes in there and eats just fine. It's just been very difficult to close the head gate and keep it closed long enough to secure the through bolt. I got it done today, and just stood with her calmly petting her and talking to her and she just ate the rest of her pellets and alfalfa. When she was done I let her out and she just hung around looking for more pellets.

Progress, I suppose.

Yes, I built a horizontal shelf that I put pellets on to get her in there. It isn't enough to keep her there while I slide the board though. Maybe I can try some apples? I just need to get her used to it and then it shouldn't be a problem. Hopefully.

In order to make milking the cow easier, I built this head stanchion. The diagonal board slides up into place and when it's vertical, there is a 1-in hole drilled through all three boards. The front and back sandwich boards are 2x6s as is the diagonal sliding board. I had planned on sliding the board into place and then inserting a bolt through all three holes to lock it in place. She's too fast for me, and backs her head out knocking the board out of place before I can get the bolt through. I tried looking for spring-loaded plunger latches, but none of them are long enough or thick enough. I'm not married to the idea of using some sort of spring-loaded mechanism, but I will certainly entertain. Any idea that might make this easier. Any ideas on how I can accomplish this? Thank you in advance

I just don't like being rejected by some dumbass program before a human can look at my resume.

Right, it's a tool companies use to automatically scan and reject resumes based on keywords.

I've been told ATS doesn't work properly on PDFs and word is better for this reason. I used to uploads PDFs prior to this. Now I don't know what to believe, my entire worldview has been upended!

Damn, I was so excited for this news.

I am experiencing this issue as well, but it happens even with the thumbnails loaded. There appears to be an upper limit to how many posts will display.

Not a huge deal, but a recent one. I scroll and scroll and scroll, see some community I don't want to see, so I block it. Now, the feed resets to the top and I am unwilling to regain my hard fought progress, so I inevitably exit the app for several hours until I am brave or bored enough to return.

I thought the same thing. Then I thought about how powerful of a visual it would have been for each one of them, in turn, to cause a disruption and be escorted out. Let the cameras pan over a half filled chamber after 2 hours of meticulous protesting. That image would be in history books 100 years from now, assuming we all survive the next 4.

I sincerely hope many more employees than they anticipate avail themselves of this opportunity.

You must have missed the details in the article. OPM has listed on their website under 'fork'. The deadline for acceptance is 6 Feb, and the resignation will be effective at the end of September. There is no back and forth with HR; you simply reply to their email with the word 'resign' or you don't and remain employed until the loyalty police come around.

He only issued a TRO, though. I am unfortunately confident they will find a way around this.

Trying to get this gate to sit level and swing freely. I used an adjust-a-gate kit. The width is 92", height is 6'. I have used the lightest possible wood, and I can't get this damn thing to hang straight. The turnbuckle that came with it bent straight and came flying out of the holes, so I used a different one I had on hand. Clearly the wheel isn't doing anything except causing the gate to warp since it isn't centered under the weight.

I want to add a diagonal cross brace from the bottom hinge to the top corner, but I'm not sure how exactly to do it with the 3 horizontal boards.

I'm also considered replacing the hinges with 3 extra long strap hinges, one on each horizontal board.

What do you guys think?
