Being generally as flexible as a dry straw, not owning the cool open-toe tights, missing the ability to see through my own abdomen, and I don't use Apple products.

Bloody Council, eh?

No! What?

Salt or no salt can hugely affect how things behave and "eat", by drawing out moisture or a bunch of other mechanisms.

You'd think they were making the damn things themselves.

There isn't one. 25 stay with Daddy Troll. The sons have 2 and each of the 3 herders get one back. That's all 30.

"Stick a bastard in it, you crap!"

Was it really? How?

They are heavy-handed but are upfront about that fact, and their reason for it - wanting a safe space, since a lot of people go out of their way to make the rest of the internet as unwelcoming as they can. If that's not acceptable to you, you're just not in the target audience. If it's any sort of threat to the fediverse I am really not seeing how. If they want to be a bubble and deal with the "recruitment" issues that causes on an already miniscule platform, they absolutely can.

Reputation-wise for Lemmy instances and the FV in general, I would think we have significantly larger issues.

That has the problem of blocking genuinely stupid questions

It sure does. If only people would avoid trying to slip shit under the radar, there'd be no reason to consider genuinely stupid questions with such suspicion.

People have their own reasons for downvoting. NSQ is for questions that could be considered "stupid" by people in more judgmental settings. When I downvote NSQ posts it's because I suspect soapboxing or an agenda, not an honest question. Or, in some cases, because it seems people take "no stupid questions" as an outright challenge.

When have the Brits ever been OK?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 years ago

Wasn't a failure as long as they taste good. Just looks like it might have needed some more kneading?

I can definitely recommend giving the dough a few minutes (5-10) of work before adding any fat, then kneading it in gradually. Makes for very soft and fluffy rolls, if you're into that.
